There has been human remains found near Hope BC.  According to the Global News last night on TV, these remains have been there for quite a while and Police are investigating and looking over missing person files.
The remains were found in a wooded area near the border of Hope and Agassiz about 11:30 a.m. Thursday February 10 2011, police said in a release.
There were no further details about the location or how long the body might have been there.
It’s expected the investigation of the area will take several days, the release said.
Police said the priority will be to identify the remains and then try to determine how they got to that location and whether foul play was involved.
The investigators currently involved comE from the Agassiz RCMP serious crime section, the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team and the B.C. Coroners office.
If we had a DNA data base for all missing people in Canada it would be very helpful in this instance.  If you have not had a chance to read over and sign the petition please read it over.  There is a link on this site (Missing person Data Base Petition)
