Two hikers were walking along the beach at Roberts Memorial Park , south of Nanaimo BC when they discovered a skull that was stuck between some rocks along the tide line. One of the hikers picked up the skull with a stick and carried it to a grassy area and then the RCMP were called.

The skull was examined at the location and the RCMP forensic specialist said the preliminary report indicates the skull is pretty old. The skull has now been sent to anthropology specialists to determine the sex, age and ethnicity. It will be interesting to see just how old this skull is. I will update this story as it becomes available.
