When I first read the story about the boot with bones being found on Thursday January 26, 2012, my heart did a flip-flop. There have been over 9 shoes with feet attached to them is some way since August 2007 in the waters of Southern BC. The coroner and RCMP insist that all of these feet have not ended up in the waters because of foul play. Then several hours later there was a news release stating the coroner believes the bones found in the latest footwear are that of a mammal perhaps a seal. I hope he is right but I can’t help but wonder how the bones from a seal would end up inside an old boot. Hopefully once the coroners has the results we will have a better idea.
