When I read the story in the Times Newspaper  how the mother of Marilynne Neill’s heart can’t heal since her daughter went missing I knew exactly what she was talking about. As parents we are not meant to outlive our children although I know many families live with the heartache of losing a child. It’s just not a natural thing to lose a child and changes your life forever. When you have a child go missing your grief is compounded by the fact  you don’t know what happened to cause your loved one to disappear.

Marilynne went missing in February 2003 from Victoria BC. Police have advised that Daniel Christopher Myles Aitken is a suspect in Marilynne’s disappearance and  death, although her body has never been found.
